Further, it shall work closely with the students to encourage the creative energy of student population to work on new ideas and innovation and promote them to create start-ups and entrepreneurial ventures.

IPR Cell

The School has created an IPR Cell not only to create new knowledge (creations) in the form of patents, trademarks, geographical indications, and industrial designs etc., but also provides laws that bring a stable, safe and sustainable eco-system over intellectual products, processes and services for the sole benefit of society.

There are two branches of IPR: industrial property (first recognized in the Paris Convention in 1883) and copyright (first recognized in the Berne Convention, 1886). Industrial property consists of patents, trademarks, geographical indications, and industrial designs etc. that are territorial in nature. IPRs are statutory rights that allow originators to exploit their inventions or innovations exclusively for a particular period of time.

This cell conducts various national and international workshops, seminars and conferences in the respective field of study to encourage students, faculty and public.

Incubation Center — an initiative of DIC

A research space, enabling students to interact with faculty and experts towards creation and innovation of intellectual products and services in the respective field of study, training and research.

Sculpture Workshop — an initiative of DIC

The workshop is intended to create and inculcate aesthetic sensibility among the students of the School of Planning and Architecture, Vijayawada. A 3D sculpture process shall be studied by observing 3D objects as forms. How to draw, and how to do 3D forms using clay. It completely throws the beholder into the realm of creativity and refreshes the human mind as it is made with clay, which is turned into beautiful 3D sculpture. The outcome is expected to create a positive feel in the participants.
