Dr. Adi Narayana R is a distinguished urban planning professional with over 30 years of experience in the academic and professional field of Planning and Architecture. He holds a Ph.D. in Urban Studies and Planning from Anna University and an M.Tech. in Urban and Rural Planning from IIT-Roorkee, bringing world-class expertise to urban development challenges.
With a primary focus on Urban and Regional Dynamics, Sustainable Urban Development, Infrastructure Planning, Energy Efficiency, and Advanced Research in Urban Systems, Dr. Narayana has made significant contributions to public policy and urban governance. His research expertise extends to system dynamics modeling, GIS-based spatial analysis, climate change resilience planning, and environmental vulnerability assessment.
Currently serving as Professor and Head of the Department of Planning at the School of Planning and Architecture Vijayawada, an Institute of National Importance, he previously served as the Former Dean (Planning & Development). He brings a rich background of international experience, having served as Professor at Arba Minch University in Ethiopia and Visiting Faculty at Anna University, Chennai.
